Epiphone Les Paul Standard Lefthand EB Ebony B-Ware/Demo
This Epiphone sounds great! Infact, it sounds better than the lower end Gibsons. The alnico humbuckers sound great and the Grover tuners will keep the tuning in check. The only part thats bad, is the strap buttons. They could be a bit better quality, but thats the only bad part about the guitar!
I own 7 guitars in total. The Epiphone Standard gives my Gibson Les Paul some competition.

I've been looking towards les Paul for a long time as my first guitar is a strat. I always wanted That beefy rock sound and bluesy notes. So after a small research I've ordered this golden beauty along with Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers. The guitar arrived with a good setup, I only lowered the action a little bit. The action is OK, frets are good no sharp edges or buzz, but overall they need a fair leveling job and polishing and everything would be just right. The tuners are original Grover and they are rock solid and smooth. Stock pickups are quite muddy. They are OK for an overdrive, but when played clean or with a little crunch they just didn't do the job. So as planned, I replaced them for Gibson 490r and 498t pickups, and now the guitar sounds just right. I can get creamy blues tones on the neck pickup or I can get that huge rock sound from 498t in the bridge. The quality of craftsmanship is good. I found only a tiny spot of gold paint on the binding and couple of glue traces near the trapezoid inlays on the fretboard, but you have to look really close to find those. Everything else concerning the finish, body and neck is high quality. Perhaps the only disappointing issue is a total absence if shielding inside a control cavity, but copper tape would do the job. Overall it is a great looking guitar with a fair built quality and a stunning candy like metallic goldtop. Change pickups to whatever you want and you'll get your tone beast!
