If you still want to create a percussive and rhythmic sound with thunderous dynamics, you require a so-called noise gate stomp box.
In its compact format, the Fame LEF-319 Noise Gate Pedal effectively combats interference, humming and, in extreme cases, even the decay of the sustain and offers you all of the advantages of High Gain sounds without the undesirable noise. Two different modes determine how the noise suppression works: The Soft Mode is exceptionally well suited for creamy Lead Voices, with a soft decay and no over-run into amplifier humming. In the Hard Mode, everything under the user-defined Threshold value is caught with fast attack and release parameters, and thereby help the fast, percussive playing techniques of modern Metal to sound clear and defined.
I need the simple noise gate for my secondary guitar with passive pickups. Without it, the guitar has tons of feedbacks. This noise gate just works good.
