Fender Deluxe Molded Case Strat/Tele BlackNice Fender case, made in China. dv247 Music Store was easily the best price I could find, excellent packing and quick delivery. This case is the successor to Fender's molded case which automatically came with an American Standard Stratocaster until discontinued after 2016. It is fairly lightweight, offers excellent protection, adequate storage space, the clips are positive and pleasant to use, nice chunky handle. My only disappointment was that, unlike it's predecessor, there is insufficient clearance for the tremolo arm when closing the lid to avoid it being compressed slightly which is not a good idea. The best you can do is swing the arm anticlockwise just less than a quarter-turn which would be ok for very short periods. The 2016 case lid causes zero compression if you swing the arm parallel with the bridge, as there is a recess.
Great case. This is the cheapest proper Fender case I could find, and although still expensive compared to other brand cases, I wouldn't want my guitar in anything else. Not because of the 'Fender' brand, but because it feels absolutley rock solid and my Strat fits in it almost as if it's been designed to fit this case.... the build quality is excellent and feels like it will take some abuse, definitely built to last. It is fairly heavy compared to cheaper cases but I guess that comes with the extra protection! The accessories compartment is bigger and deeper than expected which is great.
Firstly, the best price that I could find for this product anywhere and very fast delivery with excellent communication regarding progress and delivery slot.
The case itself is well constructed and a manageable weight .The lock and catch mechanisms are very positive and easy to use.
Stratocaster fits securely with no internal movement when closed. The handle position gives a well balanced carrying experience .
