The Fender Super Bassman in the official video:
Two-channel all-tube bass amplifier with 300 watts of power and extensive features
With the Fender Super Bassman, the traditional company from California sends a powerful all-tube bass amp with full equipment into the race. Three hundred watts of pure tube power promise an extremely powerful sound with rich punch, while two channels cover the spectrum of classic and modern Bass sounds. In addition to extensive connections, the practical Fender Automatic BIAS System completes the Super Bassman.
Vintage channel for the classic Fender tone
The Vintage channel of the Super Bassman stands for the pure FenderVintage tone with massive low end, growling mids and the right amount of top-end sparkle. The traditionally passive tone stack with controls for bass, mid and treble allows you to customize the sound. Push/pull switches in the bass and treble controls also activate the Deep and Bright presets for special emphasis on the lowest and highest frequency ranges.
Overdrive channel for modern Bass sounds
In the overdrive channel, the Super Bassman from Fender covers a wide spectrum of sounds, ranging from pushed clean sounds with the right amount of grind to the juiciest Bass Distortion . While the Gain kn ob precisely adjusts the intensity of the distortion, the Blend knob smoothly blends in the clean signal to maintain punch in the low end. The sensitive, active 3-band tone control with selectable center frequency for the mid control allows precise adjustment of the tone color. The Overdrive channel also has Deep and Bright presets that can be activated by dragging the Bass and Treble knobs.
6550 power amp with Automatic BIAS
The power amp of the Fender Super Bassman draws a whopping 300 watts of power from six 6550 tubes, promising extreme volume reserves and an extremely powerful output of the Bass sound. An innovative highlight of the bass amp is the Fender Automatic BIAS System. By monitoring and measuring, Automatic BIAS promises an optimal operating point of each tube, so that a consistent sound quality is ensured. In the event of a tube failure, the Automatic BIAS system also helps identify the affected tube and calibrate the replacement.
Extensive connections for stage and recording studio
The Fender Super Bassman bass amp also offers a wide range of connections that make it easy to use on stage and in the recording studio. The preamp-out and poweramp-in connections can be used as a serial FX loop. It is also possible to send the preamp signal to another amp, or to amplify an external signal with the Super Bassman. The balanced XLR line-out also allows direct pickup of the Bass sound, with the tap being switched before or after the Preamp. A tuner out for tuners and a connection for the included footswitch complete the Super Bassman from Fender.
Speaker Jacks and Speaker Mute
The Super Bassman has two phone jacks with a three-position impedance selector switch for connecting bass speakers. The Speaker Mute function allows the speakers to be muted for sillent recording.
