With the G&L Tribute M-2000 RW Blueburst, the company, founded in the late 1970s by Leo Fender and George Fullerton, presents a 5-string electric bass that offers excellent sounds at an incredibly good price-performance ratio. The traditional construction with sump body and screwed maple neck is used, while two G&L MFD humbuckers together with the active 3-band tone control provide a variable range of sounds. Last but not least, high-quality G&L hardware in the form of Saddle Lock bridge and precise vintage-style tuners is on board.
The G&L Tribute M-2000 RW Blueburst has a body of swamp ash, which guarantees a balanced playing position with traditional lines. The maple neck, which has a rosewood fingerboard, is also fastened to the body with six screws and offers comfortable playability for every playing technique with the "Medium C" profile.
Equipped with two G&L Magnetic Field Design (MFD) humbuckers in mid and bridge positions, the G&L M-2000 bass amplifier delivers powerful sounds with a firm bass foundation, an assertive midrange spectrum and clear highs. In addition, an active 3-band equalizer is on board for further adjustment of the sound image, which delivers musical results even at extreme boosts or cuts.
Of course, the G&L M-2000 RW Blueburst is also equipped with the massive G&L Saddle Lock bridge. With a foundation deeply anchored in the body and lockable string riders, it contributes noticeably to the harmonious sound development and long sustain of the four-string instrument and at the same time enables an optimal adjustment of intonation and string position. G&L Vintage Style tuners with open gears at the headstock also ensure a precise and stable tuning.

Les points positifs : la conception est robuste, élégante, et offre un son exceptionnel et polyvalent grâce aux deux humbuckers et à l'électronique active 18V.
Les points négatifs : la finition et les réglages sont à reprendre, et la position actuelle du manche par rapport au corps empêche d'obtenir une action basse sans l'ajout une cale adéquate.
Conclusion : je vous recommande cette basse dont la base de fabrication est excellente pour ensuite obtenir un instrument parfait après ajustements.
