The Black Beauty Gibson 1957 Les Paul Custom 2PU Ebony Ultra Light Aged from the Gibson Custom Shop is an impressive icon among electric guitars and in this reissue is fully equipped with two custombucker pickups and top-class hardware. Of course, attention was paid to a historically-accurate composition for this model as well, and the 1957 Les Paul accordingly features a customary 628 mm scale length, a chunky 'C' neck profile and a Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge. By the experts at Gibson Murphy Labs, both its classic Ebony finish and the gold Hardware have been given minor signs of use through the Ultra Light Aging process, giving it its one-of-a-kind status as well as particularly pleasant playing characteristics.

Features and Construction
Body and neck of the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Custom 2PU Ebony Ultra Light Aged was made of one piece of mahogany, which gives it the Les Paul-typical soft-coloured Sustain. The neck is also made to classic specifications in a chunky C profile with a 22-fret ebony fretboard. Perloid block fretboard inlays, Kluson waffle back tuners and the cream-coloured Multy Ply binding add accents alongside the gold Hardware. However, the centrepieces of the equipment are two custom Bucker pickups with Alnico III magnets in neck and bridge position, which can be controlled via a 3-way circuit with hand-wired Paper-in-Oil Caps.
Kluson waffleback tuners hold the six strings of the 1957 Les Paul Custom in a stable position and make tunings easy to implement.
