Gibson uses the traditional maple body and glued maple neck construction, while two Gibson EB bass humbuckers combined with versatile active electronics provide variable power sounds. Last but not least, the Gibson RD Artist Bass has a Babicz Full Contact bridge and precise Grover Shamrock tuners.

The construction of the Gibson RD Artist Bass 2018 with maple body and glued maple neck promises a powerful sound with brilliant attack and endless sustain, which provides the perfect basis for variable electric bass playing. The well-proportioned "Rounded" profile lies comfortably in the hand, so that between the 20 frets of the rosewood fingerboard every note comes out of the hand as if by itself.
EB Bass Humbucker and active electronics
Two Gibson EB bass humbuckers are used as pickups on the Gibson RD Artist Bass, which promise a rich sound with powerful, open poles PIeces. To adjust the sound, an active 2-band tone control is available, whose semi-parametrically designed highs and lows allow a particularly precise tuning of the sound image. A mini switch can also be used to bypass the equalizer, providing the pure passive sound of the Gibson RD Artist bass.
