With Chislett's personal White Falcon from the early nineties as a model, the G6136T-MGC comes with an especially resonant body and TV Jones pickups for that brilliant Gretsch tone. The construction of the Michael Guy Chislett Signature Falcon promises a particularly resonant and dynamically responsive sound. While the back and sides of the 2.75" deep body are made of laminated maple, the top is made of solid Sitka spruce. The proven 1959 Trestle Bracing stabilizes the body with two U-shaped wooden braces without compromising the lively sound. With the standard U profile, the glued maple neck also offers optimal playing characteristics on the 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
TV Jones pickups with typical Gret circuitry
As pickups for the G6136T-MGC Falcon Michael Guy Chislett chose two TV Jones TV Classic humbuckers. As authentic replicas of the legendary Filter'Trons from the Fifties, the pickups deliver a particularly brilliant vintage tone that reacts dynamically to the playing style and is ideally suited for clean or slightly distorted riffs and solos. The typical Gret circuitry with individual volume controls for each pickup, general treble cutoff and a master volume for the overall output allows the setting of extensive timbres.
