The main features of the Klotz 3 metre Female Mini Jack to Stereo Male Mini Jack Headphone Extension Cable include:
I do a lot of field recording, and thus know my way around cables. Klotz is a trustworthy brand, and this small extension cable is no exeption.
I use it sometimes for headphones extension and it works great. good sound quality, coils easily, doesn't take up too much space. Sturdy, all the things a cable needs.
But I also use this cable a lot as an extension for pip powered microphones, into my recorder. These pip microphones usually have a fairly short cable length, and when doing all night recording in remote locations, I usually need a bit more cable. . The microphones are a bit higher up in a tree, I connect the stereo jack of the microphones to the extension cable and wrap it with electrical tape (against rain). The recorder then goes in a drybag at the base of the tree. And then it records all night. It works great and there is no noticeable quality loss from the microphone signal. Moreover, this work is taxing on the equipment, but the fact that this klotz extension cable survived many road trips and overnight recording sessions speaks to the sturdyness and build quality of the cable. So you can trust this cable to deliver without any issue.
I bought this to replace the original 3m cable that came with my headphones (essential for connecting to my amp as I live in an apartment !). The original rather thin cable had started to produce occasional crackles and pops so this more sturdy version seemed a good choice. After several weeks of regular use it has performed without fault, gets tangled up in everything a bit less due to the slightly thicker diameter lead so all in all I'm very happy.
This is a solid cable. I havent experienced any problems with it, no clicks or noises. I use it to connect my speakers or headphones to the computer, and it allows me to quickly switch between the two. I have used other "Klotz" cables in the past, and they have never failed me. This cable is top of the line quality for a very reasonable price. Its built to last.
This cable extension is suitable for all goods. You can practicaly use it for any instrument/sound system that it never fails. Never heard any crack or noise. Klotz cables are very good in performance, but sometimes they can be a little expensive.
