The Laney BCC Lionheart Loudpedal is the logical evolution of the extremely popular Foundry pedal and comes with some useful upgrades. The amplifier pedal from the Black Country Customs series shrinks the sound of the famous Lionheart amplifier to a format suitable for pedalboards and expands the range of functions and a useful boost function for additional gain reserves as well as numerous connection options that make the pedal usable in almost any environment. In addition, the innovative Laney LAIR Impulse Response Technology with two cabinet simulations designed by none other than Tom Quayle is on board for first-class cab sounds.
The Laney BCC Lionheart loud pedal offers additional connection options for MIDI control and a USB-C port for use as an audio interface and for the Laney LAIR app.
Lionheart sound with up to 60 watts of power
The Laney BCC Lionheart loud pedal is also ideally suited for rehearsals and live performances thanks to its power reserves of up to 60 watts, which can be used with loudspeakers, mixing consoles, PA systems and much more. The circuit has a two-channel design and features a classic 3-band equalizer as well as additional bright, flat and dark voicings for channel 2 for fine-tuning the sound. Those looking for additional gain reserves can simply use the boost function inspired by the Black Country Customs Steel Park circuit and give the preamp signal infinitely more power.
Practical connection options
Compared to the Foundry pedal series, the pedal's connection options have also been expanded. In addition to the general speaker output and additional DI output in XLR format, a headphone connection is available for silent sessions, while the AUX input ensures connection to playback devices such as mp3 players, smartphones, tablets and much more. A new feature is the ability to connect MIDI-capable devices to the BCC Lionheart Loudpedal via 5-pin connectors, allowing it to be integrated into more complex circuits. Furthermore, the pedal has a USB-C connection for direct recording in professional studio quality.
First-class cabinet sounds thanks to Laney LAIR technology
The free Laney LAIR app can also be used via the pedal's USB port, which opens up a wide range of customization options for the integrated cabinet simulation. Inside the Laney BCC Lionheart Loudpedal there are two memory locations for impulse responses, which are factory-set with two cabinet simulations created by Tom Quayle and can be selected individually or switched off completely using the switch on the front. The associated software not only allows you to load all third-party IRs onto the pedal, but also to use the 8-band equalizer within the software to precisely adjust them to your own sound preferences.
