Flexible "Amp in a Box" Overdrive
The Orange Getaway Driver is an "amp in a box" overdrive pedal for electric guitar that delivers the authentically reproduced sound of a full-blown guitar amplifier with a sound character that is clearly oriented towards the rock sound of the seventies. Orange not only uses an analog Class A circuit with JFET transistors to achieve a particularly dynamic and natural sound, but also a charge pump that increases the internal working voltage of the effect pedal to 18 volts. While the gain control precisely adjusts the intensity of the distortion, the bit pot can be used to determine the sound character in the treble.
Headphone jack with speaker simulation
Another practical detail of the Orange Getaway Driver Pedal is the headphone jack. Thanks to the always-on speaker simulation, which emulates the sound of an Orange cabinet with British 12" speakers, the Headphone Out is suitable both for practicing silently with natural sound and for forwarding the guitar sound to mixers or audio interfaces.
