The sound and characteristics of a Gong is largely influenced by the size, material and weight of the mallet used to strike it. This is the reason that Paiste offers Gong mallets in various tiers, which are perfectly tuned to the Gong in sound and other characteristics.

The Gong mallets from Paiste consist of aluminium rods coated in Vinyl and feature a specially weighted core. The head is covered with felt and fur.
