Spector Bass with modern look and interesting features
The Spector NS Ethos 5 Interstellar Gloss combines the classic NS bass design from the pen of Ned Steinberger with a number of interesting appointments that make the five-string the ideal Bass for almost any modern musical style. While the elaborate neck-thru construction with extra-long 35" scale length (889 mm) and arched maple body promises a tight sound and highly comfortable playing characteristics, the Poplar Burl top in the trendy fade finish provides for an appealing look of the bass guitar. With two DCB pickups from the New Yorker bass specialists at Aguilar, the NS Ethos 5 Bass delivers a wide range of musical tones that can be precisely adjusted with the help of the active Aguilar OBP-2 Preamps. A Spector Hi-Mass Locking bridge and precise Spector die-cast bass tuners complete the NS Ethos 5 Interstellar Gloss E-Bass by Spector.
The Spector NS Ethos 5 Interstellar Gloss combines the comfortable Spector design with a hip Poplar Burl look and a rich sound spectrum.
Due to the slim profile of the full-length maple neck and the arching of the body, the NS Ethos 5 offers first-class playing characteristics.
Neck-Through Bass with extra long scale length
The elaborate neck-through construction with extra-long 35" scale length (889 mm) of the NS Ethos 5 promises not only the famous agile playing characteristics of the New Yorker bass design, but also a particularly tight sound with clean output of the H-string. While the maple body fits comfortably to the body both sitting and standing due to the typical arching, the slim profile of the full-length, three-piece maple neck creates the best conditions for implementing classic and modern playing techniques in all positions of the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. The intensely figured Poplar Burl top also provides a contemporary look to the bass guitar.
Aguilar DCB dual ceramic bar pickups and an active Aguilar 2-band EQ promise diverse bass sounds for almost any genre.
Pickups and Preamp from Aguilar
As pickup for the NS Ethos 5 Spector chooses two Aguilar DCP G5 pickups in soapbar format. Due to the special design with a particularly uniform magnetic field, the New YorkerDual-Ceramic Bar pickups not only convince with a lush and warm sound, but also with a sensitive response that skillfully captures every nuance in the playing dynamics and thus allows expressive bass playing. While separate volume controls allow you to smoothly combine the output of both pickups, the 2-band tone control of the active Aguilar OBP-2 preamp allows you to precisely adjust the timbre.
Die-cast bass tuners with Spector logo guarantee accurate and stable tuning of the NS Ethos 5 bass.
High-quality Spector hardware
Last but not least, Spector equips the NS Ethos 5 Interstellar Gloss 5-String Bass with high-quality and reliable attachments. Due to the solid construction with lockable tailpieces, the Spector Hi-Mass Locking bridge on the body not only supports the balanced and sustain-rich sound character of the bass, but also guarantees an exact and bombproof adjustment of intonation and string position. Behind the brass nut, precise Spector Die-Cast bass machine heads keep the NS Ethos 5 securely in tune.
