The Squier FSR Classic Vibe '60s Custom Esquire IL Black is a detailed recreation of the original Custom Esquire from the sixties. A Squier Alnico single-coil with signature Esquire circuitry promises a surprisingly versatile tonal spectrum for country, blues, and rock, while subtle modernizations to the neck also meet modern expectations for feel. A true custom model, the Classic Vibe '60s Esquire naturally comes with double body bindings.

Classic style, great playing comfort

For the classically styled Classic Vibe '60s Custom Esquire, Squier uses a nato body and a bolt-on maple neck with an Indian Laurel fingerboard. Here, the slim, not too beefy C-neck profile conveys comfortable playing characteristics up to the highest registers. The fingerboard radius of 9.5" (241 mm) and the narrow-tall fretting also guarantee the best conditions for buttery smooth bends.

Surprisingly versatile sound

With the Squier Alnico single-coil at the bridge, the Squier Classic Vibe '60s Custom Esquire delivers crisp vintage tones whose legendary twang adds tremendous punch to country, blues or rock licks. Despite being equipped with only one pickup, the Esquire is by no means a one-trick pony but delivers surprisingly versatile tones thanks to the 3-way switch. Position 1 of the switch provides the pickup together with the volume control, while position 2 additionally integrates the tone pot. Position 3 also switches the pickup and the volume control together with a fixed damping of the treble.

Of course, the FSR Classic Vibe '60s Custom Esquire is equipped with high-quality hardware in authentic vintage style. With three double side riders, the 3-saddle bridge allows for a clean adjustment of intonation and string action, while the string guide through the body supports the crisp sound of the electric guitar. Behind the bone nut, vintage-style tuners guarantee precise and stable tuning of the Squier Custom Esquire.
