The Tascam DR-07X Digital Audio Recorder is a portable and flexible pocket-sized audio recorder that not only features a high-quality, fold-out stereo cardioid condenser microphone (with AB and XY applications), but also scores with various recording and editing settings. These include, for example, punch-in recordings that can be undone by overwriting previous data, a dictation mode for voice recordings and transcriptions, various recording functions such as depth filter, peak reduction, level adjustment, limiter, delayed recording, marker setting, flap signal and more.
In addition, you can not only record via the integrated Micro-SD/SDHC/SDXC (up to 128GB) slot but this DR-07X also functions as an independent USB audio interface for the Mac/Windows PC (2x inputs and outputs).

Really enjoying this and purchased for a good price, the microphones sound great and the flexability of microphone positions is a bonus.
The gadget doubles as an audio interface too which is a plus, it has a 3.5mm stereo jack input, unfortunately not the best for direct recording as the interference noise is very prominent. I have forked out on some more expensive cables which help a lot but it is still noticeable.
If you are planning to use a device like this as an audio interface I would suggest you fork out the extra cash for one with balanced inputs.
Overall its a solid device, user interface is really easy to use, though i wish the manufacturer included an SD card, would be nice to be able to use from the moment you open it.
Managed to find one after some rummaging in my house and I'm happy with the purchase regardless.
