Great service from dv247 and great price. Played bass for about 35 years and have played Ibanez, Rickenbacker, Manson, Musicman and Maruszczyk. Despite these playing experiences, as a practical instrument, the fender Jazz was hard to beat. Looked at the more expensive American version but after research, went for the Mexican. Reason, the American version has a C to D profile neck, where as the Mexican as the thinner C profile which I prefer. Playability is great, a little too easy and there is a temptation to over play. The 18v active is an immense eq. I play about 50 gigs a year in all settings and tend to set the amp to the room and then use the base to refine the tone depending on the song. The mid control is this basses secrete weapon and allows you to get any tone you want. I gave 4 stars for build, volume pot was a little tight and the bridge allen key was the wrong size(you need the smallest used on badass bridges). There are many basses to choose these days but if you want a bass that does the job, for the money this a great instrument. Finally, factory setup was good and I would highly recommend.
