Construction and hardware
The Fender PB 180E banjo from the Paramount series convinces not only with its characteristic sound but also with its excellent playability. The open mahoganyshell is covered with an 11" Remo Fiberskyn skin on which the maple bridge is mounted. This is in turn fitted with an ebony pad, which with its fine notching is excellently matched to the 30 mm wide bone nut. The result is perfect intonation over the entire 671 mm scale length. Thanks to the flat mahogany neck with 'C' profile, all 22 frets can be easily and obligingly grasped. Fine-grained snowflake inlays are carved into the walnut fingerboard, marking the most important frets and serving as orientation. The headstock and neck are equipped with smooth-running, chrome-plated die-cast tuners that allow for precise tuning of the 5 strings. Conveniently, the instrument already has a Fishman pickup system built in, which transmits the acoustic sound unaltered to the amplifier. The scope of delivery includes a robust bag
