Historically correct construction
In the construction of the 1961 Reissue ES-335 the Gibson Custom Shop the historically authenticated specifications for the popular Electric Spanish design. The top, back and sides of the guitar are constructed from a three-ply maple-poplar laminate and bonded to the solid maple center block to achieve an airy resonant tone with reduced susceptibility to feedback. The mahogany neck , glued with hide glue and long neck heel, offers extremely comfortable playing characteristics with surprisingly slim "Authentic '61 Skinny C" profile.
This historically accurate replica of the 1961 ES-335 in Vintage Burst comes complete with a Lifton Hardshell Case and a Certificate of Authenticity from the Gibson Custom Shop.
Two Alnico-III-reinforced custombuckers and a hand-wired electrics with paper-in-oil caps promise authentic vintage tones.
