The large semi-hollow body and Gretsch Broad'Tron BT-3S humbuckers promise a characterful sound that skillfully captures the warm timbre of the semi-acoustic construction. Traditional semi-hollow construction
To give the G2622 Streamliner a warm sound with a pleasantly woody resonance, Gretsch relies on the traditional semi-hollow construction. The standard-sized body, top, back and sides are made of multi-layer maple laminate and stabilized by a spruce center block so that no feedback disturbs the sound even at high volumes. The glued Nato neck in the "Thin U" profile also promises pleasant playing characteristics in all positions of the Indian Laurel fingerboard.
Using the push/pull master volume control, the Gretsch Streamliner can be coaxed into a shimmering single-coil sound with the coil split function.

On the guitar amp, the G2622 Streamliner Center Block Double-Cut guitar impresses with a wide-ranging sound between Blues and rock. The two surprisingly powerful Broad'Tron BT-3S humbuckers skillfully capture the timbre of the semi-acoustic construction and convince not only with full-bodied clean sounds, but also with creamy overdrive tones for powerful riffs and singing solos. The pickups are controlled via a classic Gretsch circuit with 3-way pickup switch, individual volume controls for each pickup, Master-Volume and treble control.

From the eponymous V-shaped tailpiece, the strings are routed via a Gretsch Adjusto-Matic bridge, which allows precise adjustment of intonation and string action.
