The new hybrid housings made of birch plywood and MDF are lighter, simplify and optimize handling. A major advantage in times when truck space and sustainability are important factors. Smallest multifunction mid/high unit
The LINEAR 5 MKII 110 XA is the smallest multi-function mid/high unit in the series and impresses with its crystal-clear, assertive sound and enables low-feedback monitoring even on small stages. A remotely controllable DSP with 4 directly selectable presets ensures maximum usable sound pressure without distortion. The DSP-Out allows the input signal, processed separately, to be routed to an additional, non-networked loudspeaker.
The compact birch multiplex hybrid cabinet makes the LINEAR 5 MK II 110 XA a strong partner for numerous applications - as a transverse stage monitor, for speech reinforcement or together with the matching subwoofers as a powerful system mid/high unit.
HK Audio DSP CONTROL Remote Software: Everything under control - anytime, anywhere.
Full control over the entire sound reinforcement setup, even during sound check and show, is already familiar from large touring systems or the LINEAR 7, LINEAR 9 and ELEMENTS series. HK Audio DSP CONTROL allows remote control of all LINEAR 5 MK II components, from the stage monitor to the complete PA via network and the in-house HK Audio DSP CONTROL software for Mac and PC. The functions of the powerful DSPs, such as volume, EQing, limiting, Delay and polarity, are thus directly accessible from FOH at any time.
Components that do not have their own DSP technology can also be connected to the DSP OUT of the LINEAR 5 MK II loudspeakers and controlled just as conveniently remotely. Per DSP OUT a fully parametric 10-band EQ, high-pass filter, low-pass filter, delay, polarity and limiting are available. Independent of the DSP setup of the LINEAR 5 MK II speaker.

The acoustic properties and stability of wood cannot be matched by any other material in loudspeaker construction. For these reasons, all LINEAR 5 MK II components are built into wooden cabinets. Due to the combination of MDF and birch multiplex, the mid/high units and subwoofers are extremely compact and comparatively light despite the robust material. Every single loudspeaker is manufactured in Germany in a combination of high-precision, computer-controlled manufacturing and adept manual work, using pollutant-free wood, water-based lacquer and a strict recycling and waste avoidance strategy.
