Summary from SOS magazine February 2019
PROS
Wonderfully easy to operate from the front panel and touch-screen display.
Wide range of great-sounding ‘bread and butter’ amp models and effects.
Deeper options if you need them, but they won’t get in your way if you don’t.
CONS
Poor sub-octave effect, and no octave up effect for 12-string emulation.
SUMMARY
This very practical and friendly amp and pedalboard replacement sounds good, is easy to use and can be yours for an affordable price.
VERDICT
Ease of use is massively important for a product of this type – almost as much as the sound itself. So it’s great that the Gigboard’s touchscreen is so effective that you just don’t need a separate software editor. Happily, it sounds good too! So if you like simple life and don’t stray too far from the usual raft of guitar effects, I’m pretty sure you’re going to like the Headrush Gigboard – whether you use it as a full rig replacement, or just your pedalboard setup.
