Hexinverter Mutant Snare in detail
The Mutant Snare from Hexinverter produces a broad spectrum of classic electric snares with 808 character through to alien percussion. In collaboration with Erica Synths, a revised, optimized circuit has been created that is in no way inferior to the sound of the first Mutant generation. Based on two analog T-bridged sine wave oscillators, the module produces the organic sound that you know and love from the TR-808 snare. But that's not all, the significantly extended control ranges and additional parameters go far beyond what you would expect from most electro snares. SNAPPY adds the noise tail, which can be replaced by an external signal. Imagine what a wavetable oscillator could do at this point. :) Snappy is followed by an analog bandpass/highpass filter with three fixed resonance values (low, high, self-oscillation). For the parameters Decay and cutoff there are control voltage inputs with bipolar attenuators. In addition to the trigger input, an accent input provides dynamic accents in the familiar TR manner.
