Accordingly, the body made of African mahogany carries a Flamed maple top in AAA quality, while the bolt-on neck comes up with a particularly high stability thanks to the five-piece maple-wenge construction. The extremely flat "j.custom Super Wizard" neck profile, in conjunction with the flat radius of the Macassar ebony fingerboard, creates smooth playability up to the 24th jumbo-fret.

The electrical sound conversion of the Ibanez j.custom RG8520-SDE Sodalite is done by two DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucker with powerful ceramic magnets. Specially tuned to modern styles of rock and metal, the pickups convince with a tight bass foundation and crisp highs, so that even high-gain sounds and drop tunings are represented absolutely precisely. Via the mini-switch between the volume and tone controls, both humbucker can also be split, so that extremely transparent Single-coil sounds expand the sound spectrum of the RG8520 electric guitar.
Gotoh tuners guarantee a precise tuning of the electric guitar.
Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge Tremolo and Gotoh tuners
Last but not least, the Ibanez j.custom RG8520-SDE Sodalite comes with a high-quality and reliable Hardware-equipment. The bridge is the classic Ibanez Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, which offers smooth handling and an absolute tuning stability even with extensive whammy bar acrobatics thanks to the double-locking design. Behind the Locking-nut six Gotoh tuners guarantee a precise tuning at the headstock. In addition, Gotoh strap locks hold the Ibanez j.custom RG8520-SDE Sodalite securely to the guitar strap.
