The Laney Nexus-SL Studio Live Bass Head is a versatile Bass Amplifier Top for use on-stage and in the studio. Equipped with 2x powerful Digital Power Amps driven by an ECC83, the Nexus delivers a powerful Bass Sound with pronounced Low-End Punch and Clear Highs. To adjust the sound, there is a 3-Band Tone Control with Semi-Parametric Mids, a Switchable Shape Filter, a Tilt Equaliser and Touch Controls.
The Nexus Studio Live also boasts a versatile Effects Section. Reverb and Chorus Effects can be called up via the Space Control, whilst the Interval Control can be used to add either an Octave below or a 5th above the played note. Here, Focus influences the Overtone Spectrum of the added notes. In addition, there is an Integrated Compressor that can be activated by pulling the Gain Control.
A special feature of the Nexus Studio Live is the Integrated USB Interface, which allows Direct Recording into a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). In addition, Tracks that have already been recorded can be Re-Amped using the Nexus. Via the Balanced D.I. Output, whose tap point is Switchable, the Signal of the Studio Live can be connected directly to a Mixing Console or Recording Device.
Two Combination Sockets are available for connecting Loudspeaker Cabinets, whereby the Output Impedance can be switched between 8Ω and 4Ω.
