The Music Man Tim Commerford Passive in Quentin Blue is limited to 50 pieces worldwide.
Classic StingRay design made from ash and maple
The passive Music Man Tim Commerford is based on the basic StingRay design and has classic design features such as the five-way sculpted neck joint to make the high fretboard positions particularly accessible. For particularly smooth layer changes, the back of the roasted maple neck also features a smooth gunstock oil & wax finish, while 22 stainless steel frets in combination with the typical StingRay fingerboard radius of 11" ensure the best playability.
Music Man Neodymium humbucker with passive boost
Tim Commerford gets his strikingly juicy and defined bass sound from a single Music Man neodymium h umbucker near the bridge. The double coil convinces with its powerful output, which can be boosted even further if required using the passive boost that can be switched via the volume control's push/push function. In addition to the passive treble control, the Bass furthermore has a rotary switch with three switching positions, which can be used to switch the humbucker in series, parallel or single-coil mode.
Finger Ramp & String-Thru-Body Bridge with Mute Pads
For fluid finger playing, the Music Man Tim Commerford Passive EB Quentin Blue has a height-adjustable finger ramp with a comfortable thumb rest to ensure a particularly comfortable playing position for the right hand. Another highlight is clearly the bridge of the Music Man Tim Commerford Passive Bass: while the string guidance through the body promotes direct resonance transmission into the body, all strings can be individually muted using the mute pads, so that softer sounds are also possible without any problems if required.
