The Hype 6 electric guitar from the limited Ormsby Run is distinguished by its modern handling and quality tonewoods and comes with an Ormsby case.
The body of the Ormsby Hype 6 is made from a solid piece of mahogany wood in a high-gloss finish, with generous cutaways making even the high registers of the 24 frets easily accessible.
Construction and tonewoods
For the selection of the tonewoods of the Multiscale electric guitar of the Australian manufacturer was paid attention to tonal clarity, as well as visually expressive grains. The neck is composed ofa 5-ply blend of maple, padauk, and wenge, and its 'D' profile provides ideal conditions for any movements on the birdseye maplefingerboard, on which 24 stainless steel frets in fanned-fret format are distributed. In addition, the mahogany body of the Ormsby Hype 6 was provided with an appealingly grained top made of Karelian birch, which rounds off the appearance of the electric guitar with a high-gloss finish.
The tonal stability of the Multiscale guitar is supported by a custom Ormsby bridge and clamp tuners.
Pickup equipment and hardware
At the amp, the Hype 6 impresses with the clearly defined heavy sound of two in-house dual coilers, which take the form of a Concordia humbucker on the neck and a Blizzard ceramic humbucker on the bridge. Thus, the multi-scale electric guitar delivers hot, modern metal sounds with tight low end and crystal clear highs. A 3-way switch, as well as a volume and Coil-Split push/pull tone control can be used to elicit further tonal flexibility from the Hype 6.
