With the PRS SE hollow-body Standard Piezo Dog Hair Smokeburst, Paul Reed Smith adds a solid all-round guitar to the popular SE series, which makes it easy to create electric and acoustic sounds. Based on the successful hollowbody design from Stevensville, Maryland, the guitar comes in all-mahogany construction with tone-colouring resonance chambers in the body and comfortable "wide fat" neck. While PRS 58/15 LT "S" Low Turns humbuckers deliver typical electric guitar tones with warm vintage character, the well-known PRS/LR Baggs piezo system with active Preamp provides authentic acoustic guitar sounds. A precisely adjustable PRS Adjustable Wraparound Bridge and tuning stable PRS Designed Die-Cast tuners complete the features of the SE hollow-body Standard Dog Hair Smokeburst from Paul Reed Smith Guitars.

Resonant construction
To achieve a resonant timbre with a warm tonal character, PRS relies on the construction method familiar from the Core Models for the SE hollow-body Standard Piezo Dog Hair Smokeburst guitar. The generously sized sound chambers in the middle section of the mahogany body are closed off by the top and back made of the same wood, with the silver-gray pore filler providing an elegant contrast to the black Finish of the guitar. Due to the pleasantly strong "wide fat" profile, the glued mahogany neck feels full but comfortable in the hand, so that any playing technique can be implemented with ease on the rosewood fingerboard with the obligatory bird inlays.
The 58/15 LT "S" humbuckers and piezo system are controlled via dedicated volume knobs and a treble shutter.

The PRS 58/15 LT "S" Low Turns humbuckers, designed on the basis of classic models, elicit rich clean and lively overdrive sounds from the guitar amplifier, which not only react dynamically to the playing style, but also have an absolutely authentic vintage character. The piezo system, on the other hand, designed together with the specialists from LR Baggs, promises authentic acoustic guitar sounds with the coloring timbre of the hollow-body construction. Thanks to two output jacks, the signals from both pickup systems can not only be output as Mix, but also transmitted to separate amplifier systems.
Die-cast tuners designed by PRS Guitars reliably keep the SE Hollowbody Standard in tune.
