The Roland TM-1 is a practical sound module with two trigger inputs, 30 sounds and two footswitches. It is the ideal solution to add electronic layer sounds to your acoustic drums at a reasonable price. The Roland sound module is mainly controlled by two foot switches, which are used to set the sounds, kits and the mute function. In addition, there are four knobs for each trigger input as well as a main out, a headphone output and a USB port. 15 kits and 30 sounds are already preset, another 30 user samples with a length of six seconds per sample can be saved internally and edited with the editor app.
The Roland TM-1 is the perfect solution for all drummers who want to add electronic elements to their sound due to its compact format and easy handling. The module is easily placed on the floor and connected to two Roland RT triggers or Roland pads (both optional). Four knobs are available for each of the two connected pads or triggers, which can be used to adjust sensitivity, pitch, decay and level. The acoustic sound of the drum kit can then be enhanced with either latency-free sample layers or pure electro sounds. 30 high-quality kick-, snare-, tom-, cymbal- and percussion-sounds are pre-stored and can be extended by 30 user sounds.
The free Editor App for Mac/Windows and iOS/Android with 150 optional sounds lets you edit and organize TM-1 setlists and sounds. Simply connect the Roland module to a device, open the app, import the desired samples from the library and adjust the settings as needed. Two footswitches on the top of the TM-1 control the samples, kits and mute function, so the drummer always has his hands free during the gig and can immediately switch to the next song. The module is powered either by a battery or an optional AC adapter. The sounds are then output separately via the headphone output and the main out. Trigger-to-MIDI conversion can be done at any time via the USB port. Simply connect the Roland TM-1 to a conventional DAW and then trigger and record virtual sounds.
Triggers your kick and snare drum and you can use your phone to edit the sounds. This is a case of very little input from the player and maximum output from the device! Sounds brilliant and so easy to use!
