For the construction of the California TM5 Lefthand the bass builders from Braunschweig rely on proven woods that guarantee a crisp tone. Accordingly, the body is made of ash, while the six-bolt neck is made of maple and carries a 22-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard. For a comfortable playability provides furthermore the pleasantly shaped C-neck profile, on which even complex grooves go easily from the fingers.
Two powerful Delano pickups and the active 2-band tone control give the five-string electric bass a wide sound spectrum with a noticeable vintage character.

The pickups of the California TM5 Lefthand come from Delano and convince with their versatile sound spectrum, whose pleasant vintage nuances are always recognizable. A wide range of different timbres can be accessed via the blend control, ranging from the rich and assertive low-end thrust of the Delano MCFE humbucker mounted close to the bridge to the fat yet transparent sound of the Delano JMVC pickup in the middle position. To further customize the sound, there is also an active 2-band tone control and the split switch for the humbucker, which can be used to create authentic Single Coil-Sounds sounds.
