Handmade Djembe with natural skin and black teak finish
The djembes of the Black Mamba series are characterised by a noble black finish, which does not even stop at the skin. The djembes are tuned with the help of a traditional string tensioning system and the shell is hand-carved.
Wood from plantations
Toca takes its sense of responsibility towards nature and the environment very seriously. That is why all the wood used in the production of the Black Mamba djembes comes from ecologically sound, certified plantation cultivation. Solar energy is used to dry the wood.
Hand-carved kettle
The shell of the Black Mamba Djembes is carved from a single piece of wood - by hand! No less than 20 layers of teak oil protect the wood of the djembe and give it the beautiful Black Mamba finish.
Traditional string tensioning
The hand-selected goatskin of the Black Mamba Djembe is tuned using a traditional string tensioning system. The strings have a braided core which makes them extra durable and ensures that the strings do not stretch.
