Yamaha's CVP-905 B is a cutting-edge digital piano that sets the tone with an appealing, modern design and premium sound. The elegant appearance with rounded edges and curved feet fits equally well in the living room, as well as on stage and in jazz clubs. The 88-key Grand Touch keyboard features a linear weighted hammer action and counterweights. The surface of the keys is covered with ivory-like coatings (Ebony & Ivory Touch), which gives the player a more grippy surface and significantly reduces slippage. In addition, the white keys are made of real wood. The generously sized control panel leaves plenty of room for all buttons and labels, which allows for clear operation. In the centre of the panel is the large 9" full-colour touchscreen, which allows most actions to be performed with a swipe of the finger. The control panel is also the "back" of the folding keyboard cover; this clever solution protects the keyboard and the technology from dust and dirt when not in use. The music stand, which can be adjusted in its angle of inclination, can accommodate several sheets of music and, of course, a tablet. The operation of the CVP-905 is even easier with the help of the Smart Pianist and Rec'n'Share apps, which are available free of charge for Android and iOS smart devices, and expands the features and interesting points.

Wide range of sounds

Thanks to binaural sampling technology, Yamaha has succeeded in reproducing the sound of the imposing Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos in great detail. And to achieve the most authentic sound possible, details such as key-off samples and pedal noises as well as the simulation of string resonances can also be heard when played in the appropriate manner. In total, the digital sound generation has 1315 sounds, 49 drum kits and 480 XG sounds. If required, each of the 16 parts of the multitimbral instrument can be individually tuned to your own taste with reverb and Chorus effects, a master compressor, equalizer as well as insert and var effects. Thanks to 256 voiced polyphony, the CVP-905 has enough headroom even when playing fast so that no fading note is swallowed.

A workhorse for composers and entertainers

Keyboard players who write their own songs will enjoy the 16-track recording function in MIDI format. The large Display proves to be a valuable aid in creating arrangements. Audio recording is also no problem with the CVP-905, the instrument stores audio files in WAV and MP3 format on a separately available USB. The built-in MIDI file player plays standard MIDI files in formats 0 and 1, and also records files in both formats. With over 400 Preset songs, beginners and experienced have a good foundation at hand to perfect their playing. Dual, layer and split modes allow you to spread and layer sounds across the entire keyboard, which is great for musical expression.

Powerful speaker system

The speakers installed in the CVP-905 also benefit from many years of experience in the field of acoustic pianos and the development of high-quality speakers. Individual speakers on each side for the midrange and treble produce a clear sound with depth. A total of four speakers are installed, which achieve a power of 2x 45 W + 20 W.
