Like its predecessor, the current version - VocalSynth 2 - convinces iZotope with special editing, modeling and effects for vocals. All previous modules such as Vocoder, Compuvox, Talkbox and Polyvox have been equipped with many different parameters that allow total control over incoming signals. These are e.g. extended synth controls, filters, panning, presets, etc. - of course we also tinkered with the overall sound in order to achieve good results quickly.
New is the Biovox module, which can be used to configure various settings for vowels in addition to the features mentioned above. There is a morph surface with a position marker that can be dragged back and forth between the A-E-I-O-U vowels to generate individual sounds. The automation of this parameter can also be accomplished in no time at all and thus completely individual "trips" can be realized. Equally impressive are the Clarity, Breath, Nasal and Shift controls, which shape the sound extraordinarily.
New features in the effects section include Ring Mod and Chorus, general improvements to Shred, and the ability to change the order of individual effects in the signal flow at any time. Of course, popular effects such as Delay, Distort and Transform were also adopted.
As with Ozone, Neutron and Tonal balance Control, Inter-Plugin Communication is also used here. This includes Visual Mixer, Masking Meter and Tonal Balance Control support - all practical tools for comparing and adjusting multiple tracks with each other to create a better, transparent mix or simply to see how the signals relate to each other in context. In combination with other current products, this iZotope creates an extremely extensive working environment for professional audio production.
