The new TX series loudspeakers from Alto are a direct successor to the already successful and award-winning Truesonic loudspeaker series. As with the Truesonic systems, the TX speakers are designed for compactness and weight, making them particularly interesting for touring musicians, DJs and other productions where the mobility of the equipment without sacrificing audio quality is paramount.
The loudspeakers are made of a very durable and robust polypropylene hard shell body, which makes them almost as light as a feather compared to products made of MDF, with a high quality of workmanship. Like the Truesonic loudspeakers, the new TX speakers are bi- amped driven by a Class D power amplifier. Class D power amplifiers are considerably lighter than comparable A or AB specs and therefore allow for a speaker that is light in weight, yet still offers a speaker that is dynamic and powerful enough to handle most sound demands.
The XLR inputs of these speakers can process both microphone and line signals. In addition, both an analog limit circuit and a clipping protection function are available. Furthermore, the loudspeakers are compatible with all common speaker stands via 36mm standard flange. An 8 "woofer and a 1" tweeter are bi-amped driven by a 280W Class D amplifier.
These extremely compact loudspeakers are ideal for mobile voice or music transmissions in stand-alone mode, but can also be used in combination with a subwoofer to achieve a fully-fledged PA. Other possible areas of application also includes the permanent installation in bars, restaurants or other smaller to medium-sized rooms or the operation as a stage monitor.
