The SHTH from After Later Audio combines the modular basic functions Sample & Hold and Track & Hold on only 2HP. The upper part of the module contains a classic Sample & Hold function including a noise generator. This is normalized to the input of the S&H, so all you need is a Gates or LFO with a square waveform to elicit stepped, random control voltages from this circuit. The S&H circuit is fast enough to process analogue bitcrush (via clock and sample in) with two square wave oscillators "cleanly". Thanks to the noise output, the noise can also be used elsewhere in Patch. Instead of noise, any audio or CV signal can be used at the input. The lower part of the module is a track & hold circuit, this works exactly the other way round to the S&H: The audio or CV signal at the input is passed to the output until a Gate or Clock signal is present at the track input, the voltage is held until Gate or Clock is at 0 volts. A special feature is the walk output, which continuously shoots out random control voltages.
