Dove Audio shows with the WTF (Window Transform Function) oscillator in an impressive way what is possible with digital technology. Based on 32 wavetables, the WTF combines a front and rear wave mix at the same frequency into a new one and makes this mix controllable manually and via CV inputs including attenuators. The result is reminiscent of wavetable synthesis, but deeper due to the two modulatable, separate waveforms. Width controls the ratio of the mixture; if only one "window" is used, 32 waveforms with PWM are available.
As an option, the module can be switched over to pitched noise in addition to the wavetables, and the sound character changes continuously from white noise to 8-bit retro games.
