Straight from the time capsule - The Fender '52 Telecaster
The Fender '52 Telecaster Time Capsule MN Faded Nocaster Blonde #R12462 embodies the glorious Telecaster as it was built in its 1952 version and can still be heard on numerous recordings today. Of course, only classic features are used here in the form of true-to-original woods, classic shaping and authentic wiring to get as close as possible to the iconic sounds and unmistakable feel of the '52 Tele electric guitar. Deluxe hardshell case and certificate included!
An offshoot of the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California, the Fender '52 Telecaster offers authentic sounds, classic feel and, of course, that unmistakable Tele look.
The bolt-on maple neck is in the authentic '57 style soft-'V' profile with compound radius
Two-piece Ash Body & Rift Sawn Maple Neck
Like the early models of the Telecaster in the early fifties, the Fender '52 Telecaster Time Capsule MN Faded Nocaster Blonde features atwo-piece ash body connected to the one-piece Rift Sawn Maple neck via the tried-and-true four-bolt action. This evokes the classic feel for the picking hand with its 1957 Soft "V" neck profile, while the compound radius of the 21-fret fingerboard, which rises from 7.25" to 9.5", offers the ideal combination of vintage and modern. The Time Capsule finish makes the Custom Telecaster shine like it's brand new, but still gives it that certain something that defines its Vintage-Look.
Handwound Pickups & '51 Nocaster Wiring
The classic sound of the Early Fifties Tele with its unmistakable twang and growl is provided by two hand-wound Custom Shop '50/'51 Nocaster single coils, which were manufactured according to the classic recipe at the Custom Shop Facility in Corona, California. Both pickups are wired via the traditional '51 Modified Nocaster Wiring, which replaces the usual tone knob with a blend control and integrates the neck pickup steplessly into the circuit in switch position 1.
Two Fender Custom Shop Hand-Wound '50/'51 Nocaster Single Coils combine with the '51 Modified Nocaster Wiring for classic Early Fifties Tele sounds.
3-Saddle Tele Bridge & Vintage Style Tuners
Also a tone-shaping element, the Fender '52 Telecaster Time Capsule MN Faded Nocaster Blonde #R12462 can't be without a classic 3-saddle vintage style Tele bridge with classic recipe brass string riders and stamped serial number. The hardware finish, which has been tastefully aging, is completed with six vintage-style tuners for the Telecaster's iconic headstock silhouette and a single-ply black phenolic pickguard.
