For the construction of the American Special Strat HSS, Fender relies on the concept that has been tried and tested since 1954. A body made of solid alder meets a screwed maple neck, which is made in one piece and carries 22 frets in modern jumbo format. In combination with the 9.5" fretboard radius, these allow unhindered string pulling, while the "Modern C" profile lies comfortably in the hand.

Hot Pickups with Greasebucket Circuit

The American Special HSS Stratocaster HSS uses a Fender Atomic humbucker on the bridge and two Texas Special single coils in the middle and neck position. This unique combination provides a changeable sound that, like the Texas desert wind, caresses the ear with gentle warmth or cuts through the mix with the heat of a welding torch. The powerful single coils with the typical bell-like Strat character, which cuts a good figure both clean and distorted thanks to the vocal midrange, are convincing. The Atomic humbucker on the bridge lives up to its name and delivers rich rock riffs with tight basses and tight punch in the mids, but can also convince on the clean amplifier with its differentiated reproduction. Thanks to the special "Greasebucket" tone circuit, the treble can be reduced without the low mids gaining the upper hand and dulling the sound.

Last but not least, the Fender Limited Edition American Special Stratocaster MN Fiesta Red offers traditional hardware equipment with indestructible reliability. As a bridge, the proven Fender Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo is used, which allows gentle tone shimmer as well as the fat modulations of wild surf rock. The strings are countered on the headstock of Fender Standard Cast/Sealed tuners, which guarantee lasting tuning stability thanks to their encapsulated construction.
