Electro acoustic guitar, dreadnought, all solid, Sitka spruce top, Mahogany body, 628,6 mm scale length, pickup system, including case
As a recreation of the 1960s classic Hummingbird, the traditional American manufacturer Gibson from Montana presents the Gibson Hummingbird Original HCS, a versatile electro acoustic guitar in dreadnought design with the signature Hummingbird pickguard, giving the guitar a unique appearance. An all solid construction featuring a Sitka spruce top and Mahogany body produces a very powerful clear and warm tone, especially in the bass and mid frequencies, making this guitar a perfect singer-songwriter instrument. The wafer-thin nitro lacquer and a Scalloped-X-Bracing complete the warm note of the Hummingbird and give the materials the possibility to swing freely. A short mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard provides excellent playing comfort. Thanks to a 43 mm nut width and a 628.6 mm scale length, the Hummingbird offers excellent access to all 20 frets and enough space to handle more complex fingerings with ease. The headstock, typical for Gibson guitars, is equipped with golden Gotoh Keystone tuners, which not only guarantee precise tuning, but also, in combination with the characteristic company logo, embody the globally known Gibson spirit. For amplified use, the Hummingbird is equipped with an L.R. Baggs pickup system, which can reproduce the acoustic sound unaltered and natural, and has a volume and tone pot hidden in the upper part of the sound hole. The Gibson Hummingbird Original HCS guitar includes a case.
