Solid acoustic guitar, dreadnought construction, cedar top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, Richlite fingerboard, pickup system, case included.
With the new Godin Metropolis Cedar EQ, the Canadian manufacturer presents one of its last steel string creations in classic dreadnought construction with solid woods and best hardware. A cedar top with a wafer-thin semi-gloss finish produces a warm and powerful sound that unfolds completely and comprehensively even with light strokes. In combination with a mahogany back and sides, the instrument produces a midrange sound that is gently enriched with the distinctive bass frequencies, making the Metropolis particularly suitable for expressive strumming. A slim mahogany neck with a saddle width of 43.7 mm also allows a comfortable grip on the 21 frets, which are intoned cleanly thanks to a compensated bridge insert made of GraphTech TUSQ. Precise open-gear tuners are inserted into the headstock, which is decorated with a tortoise overlay. Due to its 16:1 transmission ratio, the 6 strings are tuned cleanly. In order to reproduce the acoustic sound of the guitar in a very natural way, the manufacturer relies on a high-quality L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup system, which can be individually adjusted via a control unit in the sound hole. A Deluxe TRIC Case is included in delivery.
