The Golden Age Audio GA-8000 is a large-diaphragm tube condenser microphoneinspired by Sony's classic C-800G microphone. The device has a variable directional characteristic, allowing you to switch between omnidirectional and cardioid polar patterns simply by pressing a switch on the front panel. This is a very practical function, as the diaphragm of the microphone picks up the sound waves very differently depending on the characteristic, which can lead to unwanted interference in the audio signal depending on the recording situation. The second exciting feature of the GA-8000 is the built-in active semiconductor cooling system, which results in low noise and low distortion of the audio signal and dissipates the heat generated by the tube via the large external heat sink. Since all components of the GA-8000 strictly follow the original parts and circuits, it has almost the same features as the original Sony, including the modern sound character.
