The guitar house founded in 1883 by Mannheim's Friedrich Gretsch in Brooklyn not only produces guitars with a high recognition value in style and sound, but also high-quality elements that are indispensable in the music world. With their timeless design and indestructible features, the semi-acoustic guitars are more than just a cult classic for blues and rock fans. For the 140th anniversary ("Double-Platinum Anniversary") of the company, a limited reissue of some of the most classic Gretsch models has now been developed, which shine in style in double-platinum finishes. The GRETSCH G6136T-140 Limited Edition FalconTwo Tone Stone/Pure Platinum is fully equipped with FT-67 Filter'Tron pickups, Grover Imperial locking tuners, classically versatile circuitry, and adorned with premium tone woods in a custom nitrocellulose finish and a color-matched headstock with 140th Anniversary badge.
High quality woods and construction
The traditional Gretsch construction has been impressing blues and rock lovers with its full sound with strong acoustic timbre since 1958. Back and sides are made of maple laminate and connected to the high quality Adirondack spruce top by Gretsch 1959 trestle bracing and white binding. In keeping with the "Double Platinum" anniversary theme, the top and headstock of the G6136T-140 Falcon shine in an expressive Stone Platinum contrasting with the Pure Platinum finish on the back and neck. This is topped off with nitrocellulose finish and anniversary plaque.
Gretsch FT-67 Filter'Tron with Treble Bleed Circut
The tonal dynamics of the Gretsch G6136T-140 Limited Edition Falcon Two Tone Stone/Pure Platinum are enhanced by Gretsch's new FT-67 Filter ' Tron humbucker pickups. Adorned with pearloid coil bodies , these versions of Gretsch's time-honored Filter'Trons elicit vintage vo icing with rounded with modern tone from the hollowbody guitar. Matching the pickguard, the humbucker frames are finished in a Pure Platinum finish. A typical Gretsch circuit is also present, with which the tone can be adjusted through individual Jewel-Arrow Volume knobs and Master/Tone controls. The Treble Bleed circuit also provides balance and expressive playing at any volume.

Hardware and other details
Reliable hardware is a must for any Gretsch guitar, which of course can be found on the 140th Double-Platinum Anniversary version. Six strings run through a Traditional Bigsby B6CP string-thru vibrato tailpiece over an Adjusto-Matic bridge with ebony base. The overlying ebony fretboard features 22 medium jumbo frets with pearloid hump block inlays spread across them. For stable tuning, Grover Imperial locking tuners are located on the headstock.
