The Ibanez BTB845SC Terra Firma 5-String Bass Guitar Natural Low Gloss is a 5-string model built from select-grade woods with a neck-through construction and top quality hardware. An extended Upper Horn creates constant contact with the maple/bubinga neck from the 12th to the 24th fret thereby providing maximum stability and increased sustain. The back of the neck is sculpted for comfort and easy access to the very highest notes. The maple/rosewood neck boasts superior stability and sustain through the entire body of this bass.

The 35" scale provides increased tension for the low B and improves definition in the lower range. The stainless steel frets are known for their bright tone, long durability and smoothness for bending. A "zero" fret provides accurate intonation, while allowing open strings to ring with the same resonance as notes are played up the neck.

The Mono-rail V is the ultimate bridge for bass string isolation as each is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference. The Bartolini BH2 pickups provide a tight bottom-end, punchy mid-range, and smooth response, whilst the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with a 3-way mid-frequency switch offers wide tonal variations.
