The Korg monotron DELAY is an analog synthesizer optimized for sound effects. In addition to its analog oscillator, filter, and LFO, it also provides a Space Delay that's indispensible for swooping, cosmic sounds. The monotron DELAY even reproduces the pitch changes that occur when you vary the delay time, just as though you were using an analog tape echo.
The Korg monotron DELAY uses the same highly acclaimed VCF circuit as KORG's classic MS-10 and MS-20 semi modular synthesizers. The Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) waveform used to modulate the pitch now offers a choice of waveshapes – a new square wave plus the traditional triangle wave. Both the Rate (Speed) and the Intensity (Depth) can be adjusted independently. In addition, a trimpot on the back panel can continuously adjust the shape/direction of the triangle wave or the pulse-width of the square wave to deliver even more versatility.
The monotron DELAY's ribbon controller keyboard features a wide, four-octave range. This design allows the pitch to be controlled even more aggressively and dynamically, making the monotron DELAY a great weapon for a DJ to get the floor moving with irresistible sound. The reversed white keys and body adornments glows under black light illumination, making the monotron DELAY ideal for delivering a striking visual impact in nearly any club environment.

Very powerful sound, 100% analog and the famous Ms filter, only this makes the money.
But its not all, you have a line in to connect other
instruments and pass them true the filter and the the delay.
I compare the sound to Venom and Virus and the analog circuit of the Monotron its real amazing, very punchy.
It can make the most amazing drones, very space atmosphere, nothing could compare to this at this price, and with a litlle soldering you coud have CV in and Out, vey andy.
The downside its that its only one Oscillator and it makes background noise wen you have the filter all open.
Dont have control over the ressonance.
I use my monotron as a filter and delay "pedal" with a casio keybord to add some dynamics and flavour to the sound and it works fine, althought it also adds a lot of noise to the sound. I was looking for a lo-fi kind of sound anyway, so its not a very big deal to me.
As a stand alone synth it as a very good quality sound and is very fun to play with. Dont wait to compose melodies with the monotron, this synth is just for glitchy noises and abstract sounds. I love the noise jams with it! A guaranteed future classic mini-synth!
Korg are kings anyway no matter what they do...here they surprise us again with a tiny but fat sounding analogue synth...not many buttons to play with but whats there makes tons of cool noizes...coupled with the space echo type delay you got yourself a ticket for space and dont have to pay tons of cash to Virgin...get this unit, you ll be happy, take it on the bus [headphone out] send an mp3 player to the input, totally worth it, i want the other ones from this series !!!

Et c'est pas un défaut de mon point de vue. Je pense juste que c'était utile de préciser pour ceux qui éspère trouver une pédale d'effet analog de delay.
Le btuit à son charme.
Le clavier est injouable même avec mes petits doigts.
Pour faire des sons de l'espace c'est pas génant.
C'est plus de domaine de la bricole. Franchement rigolo de jouer avec en écoutant sa musique.
Et pour faire un effet delay un peu noisy sur n'importe lequel de vos instruments...Il montre une certaine utilité.
Le son qui sort de cette petite bricole est franchement pas degueu :)
