The "Dookie" sound is characterized between rich gain, rough crunch and hollowed-out mids - Billie Joe achieved this unique sound using two heavily modified amps, which in combination delivered an incomparable character. The MXR Dookie Drive recreates Billie Joe's setup in detailed nuances and, thanks to the two sections for high-gain and crunch, allows the wonderfully raw sound of the legendary record. A blend control is available to mix the two signals together, just like Green Day did. There is also a central scoop switch that can be used to cut the mids even more if required.
