Compressor effects pedal for electric bass, power supply included
With the MXR M282 Dyna Comp Bass Compressor, the American effects company presents a version of the legendary compressor effect that is tuned to the electric bass. The CA3080 IC in the classic "Metal Can" housing in the centre of this circuit provides a transparent and noise-free sound image. The Sensitivity knob determines the sustain time, while the Attack knob switches between two different response speeds of the circuit. The Clean knob also mixes in the dry bass signal, maintaining pressure and definition in the low frequencies. Last but not least, the mid boost or cut at 1 kHz, which can be adjusted via the Tone control, determines the decisive sound character and assertiveness.
