Noble tonewoods and agile handling

For a crisp bass tone with long sustain, the bass manufacturer from Gdansk relies on precious tonewoods and an elaborate neck-through construction for the Patriot 5. The heart of the electric bass is the full-length neck made of wenge and purpleheart, whose 24-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard offers a full two-octave range. The heavily contoured swamp ash body wings also bear figured maple tops offset with wenge veneers for a sophisticated look. The handy D-profile promises extremely agile handling for fast grooves and basslines.

Aguilar pickups and active EQ

For the pickup of the Patriot 5 Mayones chooses two Aguilar DCB humbuckers. The pickups, equipped with two ceramic bar magnets, provide a detailed and full tone at the bass amplifier, which captures every nuance in the playing and presents it expressively. To adjust the tone, the five-string also comes with a musically tuned, active 3-band equalizer. Besides the mini switch that puts the electric bass in passive mode, the Mayones Patriot 5 is also equipped with a passive treble cutoff.
