Classic tonewoods for the PRS Custom 24-08
For the construction of the PRS Custom 24-08, Paul Reed Smith uses exquisite woods with the best resonance characteristics, which are flawlessly crafted to create a unique electric guitar. The body is made of solid mahogany, while the Charcoal Cherry Burst Finish perfectly accentuates the impressive grain of the curly maple top. In addition, the mahogany Pattern Thin neck is attached to the body via a solid glue joint with a flat neck heel. This combination gives the electric guitar a lively, brilliant primary tone.
Six PRS Phase III locking tuners offer quick and easy string changes thanks to the locking function.
"Pattern Thin" profile for perfect playing comfort
When constructing the PRS 24-08, PRS Guitars also attaches great importance to perfect playing comfort. Accordingly, the neck has the comfortable "Pattern Thin " profile, which corresponds to a modern "C" shape with a thickness of just 21 mm below the first fret and nestles into the hand with its perfect curves. With a nut width of 42.86 mm, the rosewood fingerboard also offers sufficient space for clean fingering, with the familiar PRS Bird inlays providing the best orientation between the 24 frets.
Bird inlays in the fretboard and the classic headstock signature add a strong PRS charm.
PRS Hardware in a chic nickel finish
The PRS Custom 24-08 Charcoal Cherry Burst features high-quality hardware with a classic nickel finish that blends harmoniously into the elegant design. The proven PRS Gen III tremolo system is used as the bridge on the body, which impresses with its smooth handling and allows melodies and chords to be embellished with gently shimmering modulations. With its smooth surface, it also offers the picking hand a comfortable support surface for certain playing techniques. With the classic PRS scale length of exactly 25" (635 mm), the strings run from the bridge towards the headstock, where they are guided with a straight pull to the PRS Phase III Locking tuners. Thanks to their semi-open bodies and low weight, they skillfully counteract top-heaviness and at the same time convince with absolute tuning precision and easy string changes.
Split PRS 85/15 humbuckers deliver the right sound for almost any style of music.
PRS Custom 24-08: Versatile sound thanks to 408 circuitry
On the amplifier, the Paul Reed SmithCustom 24-08 impresses with its versatile sound that delivers the right timbre for every style of music. Two PRS 85/15 humbuckers in the neck and bridge position are responsible for the electrical sound conversion. Developed to mark the 30th anniversary of the Stevensville-based company, both pickups impress with a particularly clear sound that provides the perfect basis for classical and modern playing styles with extended bass and treble. Each humbucker also has a mini-switch that can be used to split it into a single coil without any fluctuations in volume. Furthermore, a 3-way blade switch as well as master volume and master tone controls are available.
