The digital input signal can be recorded with a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz and played back up to 768 kHz.
The included DAC remote control provides buttons for standby on/off, volume, input selection (optical, coaxial, USB) and mute. In addition, four programmable buttons can be assigned 20 different functions and commands for maximum flexibility.
Was wary about purchasing such an expensive DAC but it was well worth it. Superb sound quality and fabulous headphone amplifier. Can now stream music in 24bit/96kHz mode.....Can't do 192kHz due to computer limitations bur will get a new one soon. This replaces my 10 year old Tascam DAC wich has served me well although only 24 bit/48kHz. RME is a great product but some reading of the manual is required to get the best out of its numerous facilities. Buy one!
great sound on default settinsg, simply packed with great features, has best in breed engineering functions built in DSP/EQ/diff Output levels on all interfaces, 5 band parametric eq, croosfield speaker sim for cans......great DAC if it be to listen to your music collection or an audio engineer.
I normally use a Focusrite Scarlet, which is producer’s interface, but has a good DAC and amp, and a Dragonfly Cobalt, so was concerned that the difference wouldn’t be too noticeable. I needn’t have worried, as the clarity of the ADI2 is outstanding. With some gentle filtering through the ADI2’s onboard EQ my AKG702’s were transported to a different class of product and my Audeze LCD1’s, already sounding awesome through Dragonfly, provided much greater separation of the instruments.
For anyone thinking of stepping up in the world of high end gear, you’ll be making a wise investment.
