The Red Hill CF-720C EQ Natural impresses with its excellent price / performance ratio and its versatile functionality. A solid top produces a powerful and defined sound even with light strokes so that the acoustic guitar is excellent for pickings as well as strumming. In addition, the beginner-friendly instrument can be fingered very obligingly in all 20 frets thanks to a generous cutaway. Furthermore, the in-house pickup system with side preamp already includes a tuner that is very easy to use. Its medium-sized Grand Auditorium design also guarantees comfortable handling, whether sitting or standing. Rounding out the
To ensure that every note develops quickly and broadly, the medium-sized body is equipped with a solid spruce top that colors the tone with expressive midrange and treble frequencies. At the same time, laminated mahogany back and sides provide warm bass frequencies, perfectly complementing the sound. The heart of the acoustic guitar is undoubtedly the mahogany neck with a fingerboard made of selected hardwood that measures 43 mm at the nut. A flat profile allows beginners to effortlessly grip the 6 steel strings.
The exterior appearance is largely defined by the fine maple bindings on the top, back and fretboard, which form a tasteful transition between the individual components of the body. In addition, the evenly grained top wood is adorned by a single ring soundhole rosette that perfectly matches the dot inlays in the fretboard. Precise die-cast tuners with screwed black buttons complete the overall design with their gold hardware and guarantee easy tuning.
Another feature is the built-in pickup system, which reproduces the acoustic sound of the instrument in a very natural way, even when amplified. The extensive Red Hill JM-6T side preamp allows an individual adjustment of bass, middle and treble frequencies by means of a 4-band equalizer. In addition, the signal can be enriched in the treble range via a presence control. Furthermore, the internal tuner with a large Display offers welcome assistance, especially for beginners. A red status LED signals the player that the 9V battery needed for the pickup should be changed.

This is the first time I ordered anything from Music Store and I am so impressed. I was just looking for a semi-decent beginner guitar and wasn't expecting it to be so nice! The two different wood tones are really pretty, the strings came covered and intact, and the nacre inlay around the soundhole is cool, as is the cutaway. Really attractive in person. Great that's it's got plug-in capabilities. Stays tuned pretty well, nice sound. Would recommend buying! Delivery was pretty quick too, about a week, which is great considering the current coronavirus situation. Great product.
This came as a recommendation from a friend as compared to buying a pre-owned instrument. The sound is amazing. Looks handsome too :-)
Found a small issue with noisy vibration when the first string is plucked with first fret. I really wonder that the quality check missed out this issue. I guess it can be fixed with some minor adjustments at the hands of someone who is good at it. All good otherwise.
I love my new guitar, it sounds lovely and the strings on it are acceptable if you like medium 12 gauge strings, personally I prefer 11s for standard tuning. I currently have this in DADGAD, but all one semitone lower because I don't want to stress the neck.
I was very upset when it arrived and I got it out of the box because it was 27c°, a very hot day for September and I can imagine it had been in a hot delivery van for hours. After being handed it by the driver, I could feel heat coming from the box and even when I got it out of the inner box, I could feel the neck was hot, worsened by the foam poly stuff shrouding the guitar and insulating the heat. I immediately tuned all strings down a step to relieve the neck but I could see I was going to have to make adjustments. The strings were in almost in relative tune, but nearly down to 432hz tuning, which is ironically what I use but I think this was lower than standard 440hz because the heat had caused the neck to bow very slightly and cause flattened notes I was so upset I didn't play it for 3 days, until I took the hex key supplied with it and adjusted it. It's not totally perfect, but I am OK with keeping it now. The saddle is an appropriate level, but I might lower it 1mm or so when I come to change the strings and if I need to do some fret dressing for any buzzing then so be it. But I would prefer if they don't send out guitars with medium 12 gauge strings in standard tune, they should tune them down at least a semitone before sending them out.
I get very annoyed with people leaving comments complaining "it was out of tune when I got it" , because music store is invariably damaging guitars by them sending out in standard tuning with high tension strings. It's as if they expect it to be a magical guitar that they'll never have to tune or something...
But I like the guitar and can for now, live with the heavy strings.
The grooves in the nut could do with deepening slightly, especially the low e string. I do like the guitar very much and it's great for my sort of fingerpicking stuff.
Music Store: please consider tuning 12 gauge strings down at least a semitone.
If you can help it, don't order guitars when it's really hot or cold for transit.
I got unlucky: a 2 day 27c° mini heat wave in September, but I think keeping a guitar with 12s on it in standard tuning is asking for trouble, even at the best of times.
Besides, surely only a masochist hobbyist guitarist uses 12s or 13s in standard tuning?
