Unify software makes audio routing a breeze:
Professional sound for demanding streamers
The Rode X XDM-100 is a high-quality USB microphone with a professional dynamic microphone capsule. It offers a full, warm and radio-ready sound typical of dynamic broadcast microphones with slight pre-compression, which is transmitted undistorted and clear by the Rode X Revolution preamplifier and the first-class AD converters. At the same time, compared to microphones with condenser capsules, background noise such as fan noise, keyboard strokes, mouse clicks or outside noises such as cars passing by the window are effectively suppressed.
This is how user-friendliness works
The USB microphone is connected to the computer with the supplied USB cable and can be run under Windows and Mac or Plug&Play - without trial and error and driver hassle. Due to the DSP-based calculation of routing and audio effects and the headphone connection directly at the microphone, the XCM-50 works absolutely latency-free. A table stand is also included so that the XCM-50 can be connected and operated without any additional accessories.
Optimal control thanks to Unify
Rode X's Unify software allows you to merge and route 4 microphone signals and 6 virtual loopback sources in one clear mixer view. All audio signals can be sent to 5 independent mixes. The configuration of loopbacks and output mixes is chosen to meet the requirements of Live streams on the computer as practically as possible: The virtual sources are Music, Game, Chat, Browser, System etc. by default and can be configured to your own needs in the system settings. The output mixes Headphones, Monitor, Recording, Chat and Stream allowing independent levelling of the different audio destinations for Live stream use - eg. streamed audio vs. recorded audio.
Finished sound live created
The audio effects included in Unify first include important features such as Noise Gate to cut out background noise (e.g. from the keyboard), High Pass Filter to filter out unwanted bass and Compressor to increase speech intelligibility and volume. An additional Aphex Aural Exciter algorithm makes it possible to round off the voice recording so that it is suitable for broadcasting.
